Pika Pika! Remix Cover [Scene]

The pikachu song remix by S3rl is one of my favorite songs from the 2000’s. Unfortunately it was before my time, I was a child, but I found it through a Hatsune Miku themed playlist based around 2000’s scene songs. Simon is giddy, – a friend of mine. Anyways, I had just released Lance’s CV english bank so I wanted to put it to use. This was a cover I paid for myself! It was going to be myy first ust! But that didn’t end up happening because of issues with the midi. The pikachu parts are Yami Ryone, and the main vocals are Lance Lazor.

For starters the midi. For both characters vocals for a 4 minute song, it was $30 by

Farazfictions on fivver. I just wanted the vocals- and only the vocals isolated for the ust. I usually have a hard time running vccv english on my computer but this was just the sounds “pi” and “ka” for yami. However, yami wound’t load right and Ectasydarks his voicer has publicly removed all traces of his CV banks, and I highly doubt rel english will ever receive a proper- yami bank. So act 4 yami was used, for japanese pikas.

Next was transforming the midi into the ust. I grabbed my rel cv english cheat sheet the creator of rel cv english Jenny made for me, and sent it to user: DIMA on Utaforum. This was because they could very easily convert it. This was alot harder and a lot more work than I originally anticipated which is why I outsourced it.

Then it was time for the mix and the video. For the mix: It was plug and play by jammer360.

For the video, I commissioned the artist (aicsthetics) It’s not in the style I usually do and normally I’d go for more of a professional asthetic, but for the price and budget it looks good and I wanted to try something different. I love and adore, personal commissions because they aren’t as expensive as copyright based ones, and this is literally a song about Pokemon. While I would love to put it on spotify or something- this would break nintendos copyright, (as well as Tommy L’s copyright given the instrumental) then I’d have to get permission to use yami commercially which- I hear his voicer doesn’t do, redo the instrumental or buy the royalties to use it, then license the song via- some sort of process. So no- uh. This video isn’t like that. Thus no spotify. However I did upload this cover to both soundcloud and mediafire for people who want it anyways.

I’m a big mp3 player user. I know that streaming sites have ungodly adds, and can remove the music you love for any reason at any moment. So I usually buy my mp3’s on amazon music since it’s one of the few places to still host them. I  also usually my mp3s on soundcloud and patreon, for free download, in case your the same way. Owning your music library is a good look and I highly suggest moving off a streaming service if you can A, afford or B, are a big UTAU fan because that shit normally ain’t on those platforms.

Now that I had the art I booted it into corel video studio. From there, I added lyrics through layering the images and font effects and we were done. I uploaded the background to Lance’s SFW background page on itch.io which has free, and paid backgrounds (this is free). All the free ones are like this, that either lack copyright, or involve other peoples UTAUloids and the paid ones are higher quality but optional.

Then I composed everything into a rar and bam we were done. I also edited this into a video for wallpaper engine so I guess theirs that!
